The garment wash keeps it from looking like issued gear, and the unstructured back means it wears comfortably through a long sit.

Before you order
Licensed camouflage patterns may carry the pattern owner's brand mark on the cap. If you need a fully unbranded blank, the Military Camo and Green Camo patterns are the ones to look at.
Decorating
A woven patch or leather patch is the standard answer on camo — thread competes with pattern, and a patch gives you a clean field to work on. Direct embroidery works if the design is simple and high-contrast. Sample before a full run either way.
