Flexfit 6597 Cool & Dry — fitted performance cap

The 6597 is Flexfit's performance answer, and it's built around the fabric. A honeycomb weave moves air and pulls moisture off your head instead of holding it — the difference you notice is at hour three standing in the sun, not at minute one.

Structurally it's a different cap from a trucker. Six panels, hard buckram, fully structured, a 3½″ mid-profile crown, Permacurv bill with matching underbill and eight rows of stitching. And a closed back with a stretch fitted band — no snapback, no velcro, no adjuster. It grips and stays put, which is why it goes to athletic programs, golf, coaching staffs, and event crews who need a cap that won't shift when someone moves.

Sizing — read this before you order

The 6597 is fitted, not one-size, so you order a size spread rather than a flat quantity. Two sizes:

• S/M — 6¾″ to 7¼″
• L/XL — 7⅛″ to 7⅝″

Note the overlap. Anyone between 7⅛″ and 7¼″ fits either size, so a group order has some built-in slack — you don't need every head measured to the eighth of an inch. For a mixed adult group, most buyers weight the order toward L/XL and keep S/M as the smaller share.

Decorating

A closed back gives you something a trucker can't: usable fabric all the way around. Front, side panels, and back are all decorable, so a multi-position program — logo front, number side, sponsor back — works on this cap and doesn't on a mesh back.

One caution on performance fabric: honeycomb weave is more open than flat twill and dense stitch can pucker it. Back the design and keep fills moderate. Sample before a full run — especially on a sized order, where a bad first article costs you the whole spread rather than one cap.
